FAQ
  • What and who is HaafVisual?

     HAAFVISUAL

Under this name I, Kalynda N. Haaf, provide visual services as a freelancer.

  • Where is HaafVisual located?

My base is in Schiedam (no office).

But i'm deployable throughout the Netherlands and beyond.

  • How do I purchase a service?

    PREPARATION

During our conversation it is clearly determined what the wishes are; the expectations; frameworks; when certain elements take place such as a shooting day, dimensions or delivery time, etc.

    QUOTATION

A quotation will be drawn up with all the necessary information.

    TO WORK

After approval I get to work. Some elements must be paid in advance. But generally we start straight away. After approval of the final product you will receive the final invoice.

  • My product is not listed, what now?

To write down all HAAFVISUAL services takes up too much space. That is why you can always ask and we will look together at what is possible and at what price.

    RULED OUT

A number of services are excluded: Printing of designs is always done externally. There is no studio available for photo shoots. And voice-overs are also done externally.

  • Film/photo: What if I need more hours?

All hours are invoiced, including hours outside the quotation

An example: An event is running late. If something takes place that has been discussed in advance to be recorded, overtime will be done without consultation. If no important moments take place, the contact person at the location will determine whether this should be recorded.

Adjustments in editing and retouching will also be charged at all times.

Same goes for additional videos. All hours and content are charged.

  • Is there a studio and/or office available?

No. Studios can be rented from external companies. Meetings take place in a cafe, at your location or via teams/zoom/skype.

  • Will I see interim versions?

Yes. With graphic work you always receive a sketch and interim versions first. With videos you receive intermediate versions, often without music, color correction and the likes. And for photos, you will receive rough versions of the first selection including a watermark.

  • How do I receive my product?

    Wetransfer. Simple and direct.

  • Who retains ownership?

    AS PAYMENT

Before payment, the product remains the property of HAAFVISUAL at all times. You can obtain the right of use for a fee.

    AFTER PAYMENT

After completion and payment of a service, the product becomes your property, but HAAFVISUAL reserves the right to display the product on this website and other portfolio platforms (unless otherwise stated in the contract). The footage, lose illustrations and elements stay the property of HAAFVISUAL and can be used for a fee.

  • I want to cancel a service, is that possible?

YES. You can cancel at any time.

    FOR PRODUCTION

Before a production starts, there are no costs associated with a cancellation, unless there have already been costs such as travel costs, location rental, equipment, external help, etc. and purchasing. These costs will be charged.

    DURING PRODUCTION

If cancellation takes place during a production, all costs up to that time will be charged.

  • How do I pay?

    PAYMENT

Large amounts are at all times paid by bank transfer.

Small amounts for graphic work, for example, can be sent via tikkie.

    INDIVIDUALS (non-company)

If you fall under this group, you must pay a deposit of 30% of the estimated costs. The rest will be invoiced afterwards. Payment term is 7 days. After payment you will receive the final watermark-free versions of your products.

    FREELANCERS, INDEPENDENT ENTREPRENEURS

If you fall under this group, you will have 14 days to pay.

    SME AND OTHER LARGE COMPANIES

If you fall under this group, you will be given 30 days to pay.

MORE THAN 30 DAYS PAYMENT TERM

If you wish to receive more than 30 days, administration costs will be added.

    PAYMENT IN TERM

Payment in installments is possible. Ask for the conditions and additional costs. This varies per service and customer.

    SECOND TERM

If payment is not received before the first installment, a second installment will start. As a private individual you have 3 days to pay. Freelancers and self-employed entrepreneurs get 5 days. SMEs and other large companies get 7 days. Administration costs will be charged for this.

    THIRD TERM

If payment has not been received before the second installment, you as a private individual still have 3 days and as other customers 7 days to transfer the payment. Including 5% of the total amount and administration costs.

    FOURTH TERM

If payment is not received before the third installment, you still have 3 days to transfer the payment. Including 25% of the total amount of the third installment.

    INTERIM INVOICE VIDEO

With video, filming and delivery may be far apart. If there is more than 3 months in between, an interim invoice will be sent for the film process. Editing and corporate identity like intro/outro will be invoiced after delivery. It is up to the customer to provide codes for this in a timely manner.

    CODES

Does your invoice need codes? These must then be submitted within 5 working days of completion of the project or submission of the booking quotation. Otherwise, an invoice will be sent without codes. Adjustment is possible, but the expiration date remains unchanged. Adjustments and credit invoices bring administration costs along.

It was clear from an early age that the creative sector would be my future. That is why I have done everything I can to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible in this field. As a child I made illustrations (physically and on the computer), wrote scripts and filmed them with my toys. In addition as a kid I went to art class at the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam. This led to going to the  Art Lyceum at the Willem de Kooning during my high school years. Passed Cum Laude in CKV (art). Where I gained even more experience in filming. After the vwo, I did a documentary course at SKVR (including interviewing the Mayor of Rotterdam for this). This confirmed my future in video as my main direction.
Trained in Audiovisual Design (Film) at the Willem de Kooning (art) Academy. Here, in addition to film, I was also trained in illustration, animation, photography and website design. Completed my training with an internship at Sanoma Media (Nu.nl, REVU, Cosmopolitan, AutoWeek, etc.) for which I went to red carpets, fashion shoots, shot short reports and made commercials.

With a Bachelor in Audio Visual Design, various professional courses in video, graphic design, illustration & website design, I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience during my studies.

Since then I have been active for more than 10 years. I have done commercials, documentaries, reports, campaigns and much more.
